🇩🇪 „Neptuns Tochter“, benannt nach dem Film „ Badende Venus“ (Premiere1944) mit Hollywoodstar Esther Williams. Die Schwimmerin und Schauspielerin prägte maßgeblich die glamouröse Bademode ihrer Jahre.

Unser Modell Naja wurde von mir mit einer imaginären Badekappe im Stil der 50er Jahre ausgestattet und erinnert so an die Königin der „Aqua-Musicals“ ihrer Zeit. Das Bild entstand an einem heißen Sommertag in Frigiliana/Andalusien. 

🇪🇸 "La hija de Neptuno", llamada así por la película “Escuela de sirenas“ (estreno 1944) con la estrella de Hollywood Esther Williams. La nadadora y actriz tuvo una influencia decisiva en el glamour de los trajes de baño de sus años.

Nuestra modelo Naja fue equipada por mí con un gorro de baño imaginario al estilo de los años 50 y recuerda así a la reina de los "Aqua-Musicales" de su época. La pintura se realizó en un día caluroso de verano en Frigiliana/Andalucía. 

🇬🇧 "Neptune's daughter", named after the film “Bathing beeauty“ (release date 1944) with Hollywood star Esther Williams. The swimmer and actress significantly shaped the glamorous swimwear of her years.

Our model Naja was equipped by me with an imaginary bathing cap in the style of the 50s and thus reminds of the queen of the "aqua musicals" of her time. The painting was done on a hot summer day in Frigiliana/Andalusia.
